Why My Van Dream Turned Into a Nightmare!

I’ve been hesitant to share this, I wanted to wait until I had the van ready, adventures rolling, everything “perfect.” But life clearly had other plans. And as I always promised, I’m here to share the raw and honest side of solo travel, not just the highlights.

Since arriving in Costa Rica, a lot has happened. Some challenges are too personal to share (at least for now). But between it all, my phone was stole annd then came the biggest one: I bought a van.. and everything started going wrong.

I haven’t shared every detail because honestly? It’s exhausting. For you and for me. But today, I’m sharing the most important part.

I’m still holding onto hope that things will work out and that I’ll find a way (and enough money) to fix this little mess. For now, I’m slowing down, focusing on work, and trying to explore Costa Rica at a much gentler pace. Hopefully, with you by my side.

I'm also open to any suggestions, whether for fixing the van or for converting it into a campervan!
