Norway had never won a medal at the IIHF World Championship. Not one, in almost ninety years of trying. In 2026 they beat Canada 3-2 in overtime for bronze — and the leading scorer on that Norwegian team was an 18-year-old belonging to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This is the full story of Tinus Luc Koblar: the 64th overall pick from 2025, his first professional season with Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League, the six goals and nine points that made him Norway's top scorer, the historic bronze medal game in Zurich, and what a big 18-year-old centre means for a Leafs team coming off its worst season in a decade.

Every fact checked against primary reporting (IIHF, Hockey Canada, TSN, The Hockey News, Elite Prospects, NHL.com).
