A maritime expedition took place from July 2019 to February 2020 in order to remember the discovery of Antarctic 200 years ago by Admiral von Bellingshausen, who was born in Saaremaa. More than 100 crew members, scientists, artists, politicians and other figures travelled on board of the expedition ship S/Y Admiral Bellingshausen, met people, introduced Estonia and held seminars on history and contemporary climate issues.
