Spare me your tears over Queen Elizabeth’s death… Is the sentiment coming out of former British colonies, because many see the queen as a symbol of Britain’s imperialism. Which is why, after her death, calls were trending on Indian Twitter for Buckingham Palace to return the Koh-i-Noor. A 106 carat diamond taken from India and used as a crown jewel for generations of queens ever since. Believed to be the most expensive in the world at 400 million dollars. Britain has refused to give the gem back for decades, and it barely touches what former colonies are asking for.
