Here’s the amazing story of a group of American 5th graders who built a miniature boat in science class – and sent it off on an incredible journey across the Atlantic Ocean! What started as a DIY project, complete with personal keepsakes and a signed mask from the COVID-19 era, became a transatlantic adventure. After drifting 13,413 kilometers over 462 days, the boat was finally discovered by a Norwegian boy, Karel, on an island near his home. Inside, the students’ mementos were perfectly preserved, leading to a beautiful new friendship between two classrooms oceans apart.
