On this week’s Transfer Talk, we take a look at Erling Braut Haaland, who has been tipped to join Liverpool by Red Bull Salzburg director Christoph Freund. The Borussia Dortmund striker has been a revelation since bursting onto the scene in the Champions League last season, and his former colleague reckons a link up with Jurgen Klopp and the Premier League champions makes sense for the Norwegian youngster.

Elsewhere, Tottenham’s Dele Alli could be set for a January move to PSG, after reports suggest he is still in the dark with Jose Mourinho over his future in North London. Tariq Lamptey is also being targeted by La Liga hopefuls Atletico Madrid, while Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is available to negotiate a pre-contract with Manchester City come January, with talks over a new deal at the Camp Nou not set to take place until later in the season. Barça have also been linked with Benfica’s Darwin Nuñez, as well as Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
