Max Verstappen moest het tijdens de kwalificatie in Monza doen met P2 achter een snelle Charles Leclerc. De Nederlander is, ondanks zijn vijf plaatsten gridstraf, wel tevreden over zijn rondje en de keuzes die het team gemaakt heeft voor het raceweekend in Monza.
