Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov disclosed that the agreements will be signed with all four territories that held referendums and made corresponding requests to the Russian side.
The total area set to become de facto part of Russia amounts to about 15% of Ukraine and includes an estimated 4 million people.
Mr Peskov said the pro-Moscow administrators of the regions will sign treaties to join Russia during the ceremony.
President Putin will give a major speech and will meet with Moscow-appointed administrators of the Ukrainian regions.
President Putin’s decision to incorporate the regions into Russia means Moscow will annex vast areas across eastern and southern Ukraine.
The United States and its Western allies have condemned the votes as “sham” and threatened never to recognise their results.
