Norway’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Bjørn Jahnsen, met with President-Elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. today.

The Ambassador and President-Elect discussed the arrival of the 108-year-old Norwegian tall ship “Statsraad Lehmkuhl” in Manila this October as part of its global campaign for ♻️???? ocean sustainability. During the ships’ docking in Manila, Norway will organizing a conference (13 & 14 October) that focuses on the two biggest areas of co-operation between ???????? and ???????? - the maritime and the energy industry.

The Ambassador and the President-Elect also discussed possibilities for further Norwegian investments in renewable energy, climate change, peace processes and human rights. Next year Norway and the Philippines will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, and the Ambassador expressed his expectation that the co-operation between the two countries would expand even further.......
