What to do from Alesund, Norway in one day? One of the highlights of our Norway & Iceland cruise was an excursion called From Fjords to Trolls (aka Land of the Trolls tour) with pickup from the Ålesund cruise terminal. You get a taste of some really excellent Norway food as well for lunch. Link to the tour we took:

We saw fjords, raging rivers, lakes, snowy mountains, cool houses with grass roofs, and hiked up to see the Trollstigen. Our tour bus also drove on the edge-of-the-cliff Troll Path road with views that was reminiscent of the dangers from our ride on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We highly recommend this cruise excursion, or if you're just visiting Aalesund for one day.
