Norway's Government Pension Fund Global was worth NOK 22.014 trillion on 30 September 2026. Dividing that by Norway's latest population of 5,636,904 gives an equivalent of about NOK 3.9 million per resident—it is national financial wealth, not money in individual accounts.
The government says this financial wealth is roughly five times the value of Norway's remaining petroleum resources.
