Norwegian Refugee Council suspends operations in Afghanistan amid Taliban’s ban on women workforce

In view of the sudden ban by the Taliban over the female workforce and students in Afghanistan, the Norwegian Refugee Council has decided to temporarily suspend their operations in the country, informed Norwegian Refugee Council Country Director for Afghanistan Neil Turner on December 26 in Kabul. Violation of human rights over the matter was also stressed upon where Turner informed that along with basic practicality, working principle is also a reason behind the suspension.
