When Airbus unveiled the A380plus study, there were hopes that the company could sway its largest A380-800 customer, Emirates, towards the study. However, Emirates stood firm and rejected the type. Instead, favour an aircraft like the A380neo, a re-engined type that would have better efficiency. This is why the Dubai-based carrier rejected the A380plus.
