Port Macquarie GP David Cooke, on the NSW Mid North Coast, is 81 and has been both a pilot and doctor for more than 50 years. He still flies his own plan to treat regional patients and on weekends takes up a vintage de Havilland Chipmunk aircraft and leads a regular air show over his home-town. He has no plans to retire any time soon.
