Turkey Unable To Retrieve Planes Stuck In Ukraine l Putin Punishing Erdogan For Drones To Kyiv?

Turkey’s attempts to retrieve two military cargo planes that have been stranded in Ukraine since the start of Russian invasion have failed. Turkey, which is playing the role of a mediator between Russia and Ukraine, has not received any concrete promise from either parties for its planes. Military experts claim that the Turkish government is not being transparent about the current situation of the stranded planes. Last week, Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said the planes were unable to depart due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace. Akar added that the crew that will bring the aircraft parked at Kyiv’s Boryspil Airport back to Turkey is on standby in Kyiv. The Turkish minister also said that Ukraine was helping them by keeping the planes fully maintained.
