Wagner Flags Threat To Russian flanks In Bakhmut, Xi's Wartime Call To Zelensky On Ukraine "Way Out"

Russian troops reportedly struck Kherson Oblast's village of Stanislav with artillery on April 26. Russian forces also hit the area near the Antonovsky bridge between the liberated west bank of the Dnipro River and the east bank. Kyiv’s military claims it is achieving “impressive results” in counter-battery combat against Russia on the eastern bank of the Dnipro. British Intelligence report says Ukrainian forces are trying to maintain control of the 0506 road which is their key supply route.

Meanwhile, Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said Ukraine is preparing for an "inevitable" counter-offensive and is sending well-prepared units to Bakhmut. Chinese President Xi Jinping held a “long and meaningful” phone call with Ukraine’s Zelensky, in first such call since the invasion began. The German air force said two Russian SU-27 flankers and one IL-20 aircraft were intercepted above Baltic Sea.
