Etna: Volcano Erupted After Earthquake of 4.5 Magnitude,Sicily, Italy,Africa-Eurasia collision Zone

Italy: Earthquake Followed by Mount Etna Eruption
On March 4 at 07:05 local time, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the province of Catania. According to the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the epicenter was located between Ragalna, Biancavilla and Santa Maria di Licodia in Sicily. Numerous calls were received from residents. No official emergency intervention requests were reported at that time. However, local sources indicate damage in Ragalna, including partial collapses at the parish church of Santa Barbara and in several private homes.
Hours later, at 13:12, an impulsive explosion occurred at the Bocca Nuova crater of Etna, producing an ash emission that dispersed toward the eastern sectors of the volcano within minutes.

No direct link between the earthquake and the subsequent volcanic activity has been officially confirmed. Monitoring in the area continues.
