Should We Be Worried About Jakob Ingebrigtsen?

Two-time Olympic 1500m champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen will skip the early Diamond League season as he recovers from Achilles surgery, with his return timeline still uncertain.

What we know:
– No races in May or June — including the Bislett Games in Oslo on June 10, which he also missed last year
– Ingebrigtsen underwent Achilles surgery this winter after the injury hampered his entire 2025 outdoor season
– His agent Daniel Wessfeldt says the prognosis is good, with the key factor being how training progresses in late April and May
