Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre hold a joint press conference in Oslo, discussing energy security, European defence, Ukraine, critical minerals and strategic cooperation between Norway and Italy.

Støre highlights Norway’s role as an energy supplier to Europe and Italy, while Meloni discusses efforts to diversify Italy’s energy supplies and expand cooperation beyond energy into advanced technologies, strategic infrastructure, defence, shipbuilding, underwater capabilities and space.

The press conference also includes questions on European security cooperation, a possible European representative for Ukraine, Arctic gas exploration and Italy’s climate and energy policies.
