A fast-moving fire has destroyed more than 100 homes in the Krokstadelva area of Drammen, southeastern Norway, after strong winds drove flames through a residential neighbourhood and into nearby forestland. Firefighting helicopters and more than 60 emergency personnel battled the blaze as thick black smoke covered the hillsides. Authorities said there were no fatalities or missing persons, though one firefighter suffered minor injuries and one resident was treated for smoke inhalation.
